Welcome to Autumn Music Camp.  This one week camp is ideal for your child to develop as a musician surrounded by like minded young people.  This October half term break, join us in the program of your choice.

Programs Available

Jump Start

This program is suitable for children aged 6-9.  Children will sing, play the recorder, xylophone and non pitched percussion instruments to create a performance in our gala concert at the end of the week.  There is also an emphasis on learning through games and play in a stimulating environment.

Junior Strings

This program is suitable for pupils who play violin, viola, cello and double bass.  There will be challenging music available for pupils who are working at a grade 1-3 level.  They will participate in sectional rehearsals with like instruments twice a day and rehearse with a professional conductor twice a day as well.  They will perform in the end of week gala concert.

Senior Orchestra

This program is suitable for pupils who are working at a grade 4 level and above on a string instrument.  The music played in this ensemble is quite challenging.  Top brass and woodwind players in the wind ensemble will be invited to join this group for afternoon rehearsals as well.  They will play in both groups at the gala performance at the end of the week.  Also, top string players amongst this group will have the opportunity to join the string quartet which will perform at the gala concert as well.  This group will be by audition only.

Junior Band

This program is suitable for junior school pupils who are studying a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument.  Pupils will have sectional rehearsals twice a day with specialist instructors.  They will also be playing challenging music in an ensemble with a professional conductor.  All pupils will perform in the gala concert at the end of the week.

Senior Wind Ensemble

This program is suitable for secondary school pupils who have been studying a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument. Pupils will have sectional rehearsals with specialist instructors on their own instrument twice a day.  They will also play in the senior winds ensemble twice a day with a professional conductor.  Top players will be offered a place as the wind players in the senior orchestra as well.  All pupils will perform in the gala concert at the end of the week.
